Few questions reach our shop as often as this one: "is there anything from Gota de Cura I can use on my baby?". For a long time the honest answer was hydrosol, and we wrote a whole post about it. Undiluted essential oil is too concentrated for a young child's skin and breathing, and we never wanted to sell a bottle with the advice to "use just a little" and hope for the best.
Gotinha de Cura is the answer that was missing. It is a line made for the little ones — babies and young children — with gentle formulas and ingredients chosen one by one to go along with the tender moments of the day: bath time, massage, settling down and bedtime. There are three products to start with.
Bom Soninho: a bedtime ritual

Bom Soninho ("sweet little sleep") is an energizing room spray. The idea is simple: prepare the bedroom for sleep with a cozy atmosphere and a gentle aroma, and turn the minutes before bedtime into a small ritual of care and presence.
The formula has three ingredients:
- Grain alcohol, which carries the aroma and evaporates quickly.
- Hydrosol, the water-soluble aromatic fraction of the distillation, gentle by nature.
- Selected essential oils, at a low concentration suitable for use in a child's room.
How to use: spray a small amount into the room, ideally a few minutes before bringing the baby or child into the bedroom. The aroma settles, the air is lightly scented, and by the time the child comes in the room is ready.
The precaution here is the same one we always repeat about rooms and children: the spray goes into the air, not on the child. Don't apply it to the skin, the crib, the pillow or the bedding, don't spray it near the face, and avoid using it while the baby is in the room. Even at a low concentration, essential oils are still concentrated aromatic substances.

Bem Me Quer: moisturizing that becomes a cuddle

Bem Me Quer ("loves me") is the line's moisturizing cream. The formula starts from a neutral cream base and adds selected essential oils at a low concentration, at a dilution designed for the skin of babies and children. It helps keep the skin moisturized and soft, respecting how sensitive children's skin is.
But what we love most about it is what happens while it's being applied. Moisturizing a child's skin is one of the few moments of the day when touch is the main event, and the cream can be part of small rituals of connection:
- Tummy massage: after bath time, apply a small amount and make gentle, circular movements, always respecting the baby's comfort.
- Foot massage: a light massage on the soles and little toes turns moisturizing into a cozy moment.
- After bath time: apply gently to clean, dry skin, making it part of a routine of care and closeness.
- Before bed: the massage can join the evening ritual, together with Bom Soninho, as a quiet moment of presence.

Bem Me Quer is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes and, for very young babies or sensitized skin, talk to your pediatrician before you start.
Sabonete Baby: as simple as it gets

The third product is the one with the least inside, and that is exactly the point. Sabonete Baby is pure: no fragrance, no preservatives, no chemical additives, made with selected vegetable oils. It contains no essential oil.
We designed it for the everyday bath, the one that happens even when there's no ritual at all. A soap that cleans without leaving scent or residue, and that can be used with the other two without piling up aromas in the child's routine.
What a low concentration means, and what it doesn't
Saying a product has a low concentration of essential oils means it was diluted in a proportion designed for the people it is meant for. It doesn't mean it can be used any which way. A few precautions apply to the whole line:
- Follow the label. The dilution was designed for that use, in that amount.
- Keep out of children's reach. A pretty bottle with a smiling little drop on the label is an invitation to play.
- Introduce one product at a time, for a few days, so you can tell where any reaction came from.
- Redness, itching or irritation are a sign to stop. Discontinue use and talk to your pediatrician.
- Very young babies and sensitized skin call for a conversation with the pediatrician before anything new.
None of the three products is a medicine. They don't treat colic, sleeplessness or dermatitis. What they do is go along with a care routine using ingredients we know and chose carefully, and turn a few minutes of the day into cuddles, touch and presence.
